What’s playing in my head 10/30/2011
Artist: Trash talk
Track: Trudge
Album: Eyes & Nines
My rating: 8.5/10
Thanks to bane, I’ve readjusted my lenses on “modernized” hardcore. Trash talk, a huge band that I am clearly behind on released their album Eyes & nines in 2010. I recently gave this album a try just to search some younger hardcore bands and at first listen this album was a head bobber for me. I took this album home and enjoyed my opportunity to digest this great hardcore piece. This band constantly flirts with other styles of hardcore, I hear power violence, sludge, and even chaotic hardcore influences on this album all while keeping that staple “trash talk” sound. This album wasn’t bland at all, every song had something interesting to offer my ears and I still can’t put it down. I like trash talk, alot, I want the whole discography now.
